From the thundering waters of the Zambezi to Amboseli's elephants, the endless Serengeti plains, Ngorongoro Crater and the beaches of Zanzibar, this journey brings together Southern and East Africa in one unforgettable adventure.
Beginning in Nairobi, the journey travels through Nairobi National Park and Amboseli before crossing into Tanzania for Tarangire, the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater. After safari, slow down on the beaches of Zanzibar before continuing to Livingstone, Zambia, for Victoria Falls and the Zambezi River.
Travel This Journey In Either Direction
This itinerary is designed to be flexible and can be enjoyed in either direction. You can begin in Kenya, travel through Tanzania and Zanzibar, and finish your African adventure at Victoria Falls.
Alternatively, begin at Victoria Falls and continue into East Africa through Kenya and Tanzania, finishing with time to relax on the beaches of Zanzibar.
Whichever direction you choose, we can arrange the journey around your international flights, preferred travel dates and the experiences that matter most to you.

Welcome to East Africa. Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met by our local representative and transferred to your Nairobi hotel.
After your international journey, today is deliberately kept relaxed, giving you time to settle in, rest and prepare for the adventure ahead.

After breakfast in Nairobi, you will be transferred to Ololo Safari Lodge, beautifully positioned on the edge of Nairobi National Park.
The lodge offers a peaceful introduction to your African journey, with farm-to-table dining, personalised hospitality and convenient access to Nairobi National Park.
Your stay includes a game drive into Nairobi National Park, where wildlife can be viewed against the extraordinary backdrop of Nairobi's skyline.
Depending on your interests, additional activities may also be arranged.

Ololo Safari Lodge
After breakfast, depart Nairobi and travel south to Amboseli National Park, one of Kenya's most scenic wildlife areas.
Dominated by spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Amboseli is especially famous for its large elephant herds.
Over the next two days, enjoy morning and afternoon game drives across open savannah, acacia woodland and wetlands while searching for elephants, lions, cheetahs, buffalo, hippos and abundant birdlife.
A visit to Observation Hill offers sweeping views over the park and towards Kilimanjaro.

Amboseli Sopa Lodge or similar
After an early breakfast, depart Amboseli and travel towards the Kenya-Tanzania border.
After completing immigration formalities, you will say goodbye to your Kenyan guide and meet your Tanzanian guide, who will accompany you through the Tanzania section of your journey.
Continue through the landscapes of northern Tanzania towards Arusha, with opportunities to see traditional homesteads and wildlife along the way.

Following breakfast, travel to Tarangire National Park.
Tarangire is famous for its large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees and wildlife-rich landscapes surrounding the Tarangire River.
Enjoy game drives through the park in search of elephants, lions, leopards, giraffes, buffalo and some of the hundreds of bird species recorded here.
Later, continue to Karatu in the Ngorongoro Highlands, your gateway towards the Serengeti.

Today the adventure continues into the Serengeti, one of Africa's most celebrated wildlife landscapes.
Travel across the plains towards the central Serengeti, enjoying wildlife viewing along the way.
The Serengeti is characterised by open grasslands, acacia woodland and rocky kopjes, creating ideal habitat for lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, hyenas and countless other species.
Enjoy an afternoon game drive before continuing to your lodge or camp.

Heritage Camp & Lodge, Central Serengeti
Spend two full days exploring different areas of the Serengeti.
Depending on the season, your guide will follow the movements of the Great Migration while also searching for the predators and resident wildlife that live throughout the ecosystem.
Game drives provide opportunities to see wildebeest, zebra, giraffe, impala, eland, topi, elephants and big cats.
The slower pace of multiple nights in the Serengeti also allows time to stay with memorable sightings rather than constantly moving.
An optional hot-air balloon safari can be arranged at additional cost.

Heritage Camp & Lodge, Central Serengeti
Farewell the Serengeti and travel towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Depending on your interests, there is the option to visit Olduvai Gorge and its museum at additional cost.
Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive across its grasslands, swamps and woodland.
The crater supports an extraordinary concentration of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffalo, hippos and the endangered black rhino.
Enjoy a picnic lunch before continuing to Karatu for the evening.

After breakfast, continue towards Arusha or Kilimanjaro Airport for your flight to Zanzibar.
On arrival, your Zanzibar guide will meet you for an introduction to historic Stone Town and its rich Swahili, Arab, African and Indian heritage before continuing to the north coast.
After days of travelling and safari, it is time to slow down and enjoy the Indian Ocean.

The Z Hotel, Nungwi
Today you can simply enjoy the beautiful beaches of Zanzibar or add an optional excursion to the waters surrounding Mnemba Island.
The area is well known for clear tropical waters and excellent snorkelling. Depending on conditions, there may also be opportunities to see dolphins.
After your excursion, return to Nungwi and enjoy another relaxed evening beside the Indian Ocean.

These two days are yours to slow down and enjoy Zanzibar.
Relax beside the Indian Ocean, enjoy your hotel's facilities, explore Nungwi or simply spend your time on the beach.
Additional excursions can also be arranged according to your interests.

Today your journey transitions from East Africa to Southern Africa.
Transfer to Zanzibar Airport for your onward flight connection to Livingstone, Zambia, gateway to Victoria Falls.
On arrival at Harry Mwanga Nkumbula International Airport, you will be met and transferred to Maramba River Lodge.
Settle into your accommodation and enjoy the atmosphere of the Zambezi region.

After breakfast, experience the magnificent Victoria Falls on a guided tour.
Known locally as Mosi-oa-Tunya — "The Smoke that Thunders" — Victoria Falls is one of Africa's most spectacular natural landmarks.
Explore viewpoints overlooking the falls and dramatic gorge before taking to the skies for an 18–22 minute helicopter flight.
Later in the afternoon, enjoy an African Queen sunset cruise on the Zambezi River with drinks and snacks served on board.

Maramba River Lodge
Enjoy a relaxed morning around Livingstone and the Zambezi region.
Later, experience the Elephant Cafe dinner, including a memorable boat transfer along the Zambezi River.
After the wildlife, landscapes and beaches experienced throughout your journey, this provides a memorable final evening in Africa.

After breakfast, enjoy your final morning at Maramba River Lodge.
At the appropriate time, you will be transferred to Livingstone Airport for your onward international journey.
